My drivers license is due this year. Proof of citizenship and SSN to get "real id". I still have my original SS card from when, back in the sixties? Thank god I got a passport back when they first required one to get back in from Mexico. I couldn't tell anyone where my birth certificate is. I had to have it to get the passport though I am sure. Maybe it is in the paper stack in the safe but don't need it. I thought I already had real id as my drivers license has the star on it.

Buying all the required paperwork is the reason for the laws they make requiring them.

You just don't get real ID which means you can't go in federal buildings or fly. There may be other things.
