Where should I stick this probe?

Searched thru the posts in this section of the forum and found a post by Sternwake in which he had placed a temp sensor on the top of the single battery he was using. 
 As I am using two 6volts how does one determine which battery to affix it to?
 Where do I stick this probe?

It does not matter. Attach it to a center post in your battery system. 

It’s purpose is to get a general temperature of your system to help monitor condition.

Either one , it's a temperature sensor . Batteries are next to each other ?

A "probe" for your Asscid Box? Not recommended on virgin boxes unless they are gel in the boxes. Then it should slide right in and when something get warm you'll know how hot probed box is. LOL..JJK
