What I see WRONG.

1: The rusty sludge coming out the bottom of an allegedly freshly rebuilt carb that has about 150-200 miles on it.
2: the CRACKED rubber plug they reused from the Old carb.
3: the GAS seeping from the upper gasket!

did they rebuild your carb ? are they local so you can go bitch at them?

wanted to say just go with edelbrock carb and intake but for a dodge that would be about $600 but would be a massive improvement everywhere, maybe keep an eye on craigslist for a edelbrock performer dodge intake egr version and edelbrock 1406 600 cfm carb

My old carb (the one with the faulty accel pump) was getting almost 15 on the highway. (to rtr)

The shop will look at their (purchased) rebuild, for a while.. and maybe 'fix' it.. and how do I get to work.? get the dogs around? run errands?
I'm just pissed that they get to dick around with my van for.. maybe another week.. which seems to punish me for their screw up.
Did I mention they left it unlocked in their yard last time?
and the gate was open..
on Main Street..
yeah I'm pissed.

(angry, rum-fueled rage.. sorry)

Why not just replace the faulty pump?

Mine had the TBI on it
Compared to parenting, Cat herding is less complicated

rebuilding a carb is pretty straight forward, check the instructions for surprise check balls and wear glasses when you squirt the carb cleaner in a hole because it might come out another hole and right in your eye, dont ask how i know

yep- I know.
Also.. be very careful removing the retainer clip for the piston.. that is how I jacked up my Last carburetor..

but.. now I have 2 cores and the one on the van.. I think I'm good. lol

what wears out on carbs is the bushings for the throttle butterfly rod ,so whichever one has the least wiggle is the one you rebuild

When you get it all fixed look into making and installing a hydrogen fuel/generator cell to give you better fuel mileage.
