Imagine if we could eat a Dodo for thanksgiving.

Careful for what you wish. A 3D printed, lab created protein based, Dodo bird could be in the works.

With the added benefit of genetic material that confers resistance to COVID-19, but not COVID-xx.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultured_meat
Cultured meat is meat produced by in vitro cell culture of animal cells, instead of from slaughtered animals. It is a form of cellular agriculture.
Cultured meat is produced using many of the same tissue engineering techniques traditionally used in regenerative medicine.

Oi vey, what will the vegans think!

Combined the above with:

Organ printing - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organ_printing
Organ printing utilizes techniques similar to conventional 3D printing where a computer model is fed into a printer that lays down successive layers of plastics or wax until a 3D object is produced.

For a Dodo bird they would also need some Jurassic Trailer Park magic.

The Dodo weighed up to 40 lbs.

Now that would be a great smoked drumstick.
