I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I've looked all over the "white letter" side of the Goodyears on my XJ for a stamp. I thought, logically, that the white letters being the outside of the tire would also have the date code stamped there. So, yes indeed, it's on the inside. Thanks for the pointing me in the right direction, there it is, big as all get out. (1514)

they say that before 2000 they are a 3 number code and after a 4 number code,the tires on the rig are from 2009
the obviously old spare has a 4 number code ending with 87
