Mobeley
#1
I bought the AT&T Mobley on the advice of a communications guru on CRVL, today is the first time it has actually worked. The challenge will be for how long.

Be skeptical of some advice.

How close to the tower serving your area and how many people are also using it will make a whole lot of difference from place to place and hour to hour.
Don't give up on it yet !

And, I believe weather has an affect on them as well.
If I didn't already have service, I think I'd be looking strongly at bleeps advice. I'll post a link to that here.

It, the Mobeley, will shut itself off after a few minutes, there is a workaround for this I just haven’t taken the time .

WiFi at this rv park is unreliable and I’m too far out to buy cable service. I upped my Verizon to unlimited for 30 additional dollars a month. Going to chat with the owner of the park about deducting the 30 from my rent. I may be looking to move again.

PARK wi-fi !
Almost always bad everywhere.
(with a few surprising exceptions)
The next park will likely be the same......
The problem is bandwidth , the park doesn't get enough and then spreads it out over too many.
And most campers expect to be able to stream video on several devices at the same time....
result , everybody loses ability to even check email.

I hear ya now Gunny , I've sung that song many times.

Good example , now imagine 1or2 hundred devices in a campground and frequently on the same size feed as 1 house.

I guess everyone needs to check out that antenna on the roof that was shown somewhere here. Then sell access to the people around you to pay for it. I don't know how much the original set-up costs, but the monthly payment was $50, which is less than what I'm paying for a landline/internet now.

If anyone happens to find out how much the set-up cost, please post, okay?
