One of these days if I live that long.  My progress is so slow.  However things are looking up today as I may have found a TT that fits my needs.  I'd sleep by a campfire if it wasn't for creepy crawlies Undecided

Pappa had a saying "The Good Lord Willing And The Creek Don't Rise" so maybe things will fall into place for Q and I.

Smile  I hope you have a good time........ also........DON"T LOSE THE CATS Huh

Please tell folks I know I said "HEY" like Goober.

My progress is even slower than yours. I haven't even reached the point where I can sell this dump and GET a rig.

I have found a JACO J Flight Hybrid  with Q beds at each end  AND it has a bathroom.  It's a 2008 and right at $5,000.

Is anyone here familiar with this brand?

Jayco Jayflight is the TT we're in!

Are you sure the one you're looking at isn't a Jayfeather rather than a Jayflight? Here is the 2008 Jayflight manuals and floorplans, here's the 2008 Jayfeather manuals and floorplans. From the sound of it, a queen on either side is likely a Jayfeather. It looks like the beds on the jayfeathers are pop-outs. You can check out lots of pictures there.

We've been happy with our 2007 Jayco Jayflight.

You def don't want a hybrid. It's not going to be any easier setting up than the Aliner, in in fact it's going to be a lot harder IMO. You have to lift it up with one hand and use your other to make sure the canvas is tucked in all around the edges and then get it to latch. I think the doors on mine probably weighed 60 lbs each and had to do it all from a 4' step ladder

IT'S A JAYCO JAY FEATHER EX-PORT  17 C

THE SALESMAN DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT WHEN I ASKED " IS IT A 3 way RV FRIG".   OF COURSE I'LL GIVE IT A GOOD GOING OVER.  STILL IT MAKES HIS ANSWERS ON SOME OTHER QUESTIONS SUSPECT.

THANK YOU!  I'VE  NEVER BEEN IN ONE.

IF I GET IT I INTEND TO MAKE A PERMANENT BED WITH STORAGE UNDERNEATH WHERE THE FRONT U SHAPED DINNETE IS.  THEN USE THE REAR FOLD OUT FOR CLOTHING AND SUPPLYS WHEN I'M STATIONARY.  IT HAS A LARGER FRIG THAT IS NOT SITTING ON THE FLOOR + A DECENT SIZED BATHROOM.   MY CURRENT REALTY IS THAT I'LL PROBABLY NOT TRAVEL TOO FAR AND STAY MOSTLY WITH HOOK UPS.  ID STILL LIKE TO HAVE A GOOD SOLAR SYSTEM THERE ARE PLENTY OF NICE PLACES TO BOONDOCK.  I CAN LIVE WITH THE BUCKET METHOD OF WASTE DISPOSAL.  I JUST WANT ELEC!!

I'LL SEE IT LATER TODAY.  THEY ACTUALLY MAKE ALINERS WITH ELEC. ROOF LIFTS AND BATHROOMS TOO!  I'VE LOOKED AT THEM ON LINE.  THEY HAVE NO SOUL AND SEEM BLAND AND CHARACTERLESS.  THEY ARE DARK INSIDE WITH FEWER WINDOWS.  ATTHE END OF THE DAY I'D STILL HAVE TO MOVE EVERY THING BELOW THE HINGE LINE TO MOVE IT AND THEN  PUT EVERYTHING BACK.

I'D CONSIDER A BIG VAN AT SOME POINT HOWEVER DON'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT THE CAMPERVANS ?  CLASS B"S?

IT'S IMPORTANT FOR MY PEACE OF MIND TO HAVE SOMETHING I CAN LIVE IN OTHER THAN A APT OR ANTHING ELSE THAT I DON'T OWN..  THAT'S WHY I HAVE TENT.....I'M NOT SURE WHERE IT IS Sad  BUT THEY'RE CHEAP AND I CAN BUY ANOTHER ONE IF I NEED TO.

THANKS,  MAKES ME WONDER WHY ANYONE WOULD SPEEND THE $$$ FOR NEW A TRAILER AND ACCEPT DELIVERY KNOWING IT NEEDED REPAIR.  I WORKED ON THE BUILD LINE AT SHASTA TRAILERS IN TX IN THE 70s.  I KNOW HOW THEY WERE BUILT AND THINK THA'S WHY THE OLDER ONES ARE SO SOUGHT AFTER NOW.

THERE ARE SOME VINTAGE TRAILERS AROUND HERE THAT ARE SELLING FOR WAY LOWER THAN IN OTHER AREAS.  THERE IS A SHASTA THAT IS ALREADY GUTTED WITH SOME ORIGINAL PARTS FOR $ 1,OOO.  OF COURSE THE SAFARI MIGHT NOT HANDLE TOWING ONE.  IT IS STILL UNTRIED AS A TOW VEHICLE.

Call or drive to your nearest U-Haul, tell them what your van is, and how it's equipped. They will tell you for free what it is capable of towing by size, length, and weight. Have pen and paper handy so you can write these specs down to compare with what you find.
The Captain and Crew Finally got their stuff together.
Now if they can only remember where they put it.   Rolleyes

I don't know any of the specs but........
The lady that used to live upstairs from my mom has a Safari van and tows a homemade enclosed trailer (Approxmately 6wx10lx6h) out of heavy plywoood and filled with her furniture etc . She has towed it to west coast and back a couple of times and it's still tickin'!
stay tuned
