Class C, my "stairs" are inside. I do have a matt on the top step, the bottom one is too narrow.

Definitely. I wear flip flops mostly now-a-days. Since retiring, I'm extremely casual. lol

Hard to hide in those...but I also kick them a bit before putting them back on. I always bring in at night and set on the step with the rug.

I have an astroturf matt for outside .
A piece of a rubber with scuff surface on the first step.
AND another on the floor in front of the first step.
And I still have to at least sweep or vacc every night.

A blacklight headlamp for dark thirty shoe and path check.
Plus a bottle of bug spray next to the door if dark thirty involves going outside !

I def would have to spray my feet uptah camp , ticks with lyme...arrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

In Quartzsite, it’s not safe to wear flip flops. My cat brought my a piece of cactus and left it in a bad place.
Compared to parenting, Cat herding is less complicated

A can of bug spray in an easy to access outdoor bin. Check. A can of bug spray easy to access inside. Check.

Yesterday I had the door open to watch my grandson while he played outside and let a wasp in. Hit it with a cutting board. Realized I could really use a fly swatter. Also, forgot all about the bug spray.
...

Real shoes only in Quartsite. Got it. lol

I use a slide in shoe that fits me good. cheapy walmart pair of slide in sneakers. I am the type that needs a shoe around my foot, you know locking onto the back of the heel and giving support. I hate flip flops. I hate that wire between my toes and I have a tendency to 'slide off them' like to the left or right and ditched them.....I like my slip on cheapy sneakers cause I can run in the damn things if required!!! Of course I bought 3 pairs for the rv.....and leave them inside, the pair that gets wet and mucky for this adventure, the pair that goes on hikes and bikes and can be 'seen by the public and I don't feel horrified in them' and then I have a 'good pair' hanging around to replace my need for a mucky pair or a casual pair.....damn right I am always prepared....but for like a total of $30 for all 3....I got my azz covered in the fashion shoe industry while camping HA
