AMBO Maybe for Sale
#1
Looks like the ALS may win so I may sell the Ambo which I really love. 1983 Ford E350, 88,000 act miles, was the backup ambo at a small firehouse on the east side of the state, no rust, no stickers, White over Orange, last full year of the International Diesel engine 7.3 IDT considered by many as the best diesel Ford made, highest comptession, no turbo or computer, they added one for the part year but it addded 0 torque & 5 HP. Had new tires, 250 amp alt, serp belt & batteries before I bought it 1.5 years ago. front/reatheat & ait. Panel in front & back that shows rpms, volts, amps & some other things. I drove about 259 miles home at 75-80 getting about 17 mpg. Runs like new. I always researck the heck out of anything I'm buying & check a few parts cost. a Set of injectors for this 7.3L is under $300. A set for the 7.3 Power STROKE is OVER $3000. It doesn't need anything I know of & I'd head out west in it if I only could. You've all seen ambo conversion videos, easiest to do as they are Built Like Tanks, well insulated, wired ac/dc, lots of storage. It's titled as a motor home already. IF I sell to someone here that will keep & use it I just want what I have in it & what I bought for it. I paid $2000+ bought an aircond, diesel heater, Camco Olympian RV Wave-3 or 5 LP Gas Catalytic Safety Heater, cooktop, micro, toaster oven, 12v cooler so I'd plan on $3k-$3.5k. It's near Kalamazoo, MI right above where they make the campers, MHs, etc in Rlkhart IN. Here's an article on the engine. Again I can sell it for more so NO RESELLERS pricedfor this forums members only NOT the other.
#rd engine down & I have to discuss it with the better half, just wondered if any interest among friends here.

It's a 1993, sorry my bad, the fingers don't work like the used to & I've never posted a pic but you won't be disapointed it looks 2-5 years old evern the seats have no tears.. It's the last year before they tries a turbo which only added 5HP(HP is basiclly fuel burn) & O torque(Toerque is power to move you down the road) We are getting ready to list the farm & prices are crazy. My son bought a 1 BR small house in town 2-3 years ago for $19k & just sold it for $119K. My best friend died in his sleep about 5 years ago at hunting camp. Much easier way to go but I want to leave everything in oeder for my wife. I'm trying to make our 40th in July which is her BD as well. Thanks.

Yes when it warms up so it will be next week I'll get some pics to you. I didn't mean to do the 1st post where I did so if you want to kill it or let it fade away. Sorry didn't mean to post twice.

From your description, $3.5k sounds very reasonable....maybe even quite a bargain.

Best of luck.
