Got far more out of the trip than what I gave. I got to visit a Shriners hospital in Philly and meet some of the children I was helping, like I said I got far more than I gave. I wish I could do it again, I have a lawnmower company that wants to sponsor me to do it again, gas and all. Sadly I could not do it again physically.

How about drive the support vehicle for a stand in on your "Hot Rod Lincoln" mower ???
Neither one of you would have to sleep on the ground .....
Pick a more temperate route this time !

Thought about someone following in a support vehicle, couple problems with that. 1. It would be very hard to find someone who would want to spend close to a year following me at 15mph. 2. I don't have the gas money any more to supply that support vehicle and not sure if the lawnmower company would want to spring for that much extra gas. As for the more temperate route kind of hard, the record holder traveled through the 48 lower states and I would want to do the same, so no matter how you want to play it I would have to run in some cold weather no matter what. As for the support vehicle, are you volunteering to drive it? LOL

You said you couldn't do it physically .
Ao I was suggesting you drive the support vehicle .
I almost did something similar following a bicycle rider on a sponsored trip coast to coast but the sponsor never came through...
I'm staying near my 96 yo mom until she passes.
She lives in a assisted living home nearby.
Maybe later,,,or possibly could find someone else in the van community here or rtr?
Sure sounds like it was a big moment in your life ,
If you think you can + want to relive it you should though .....
stay tuned

Joe I’ve seen tiny little campers pulled by bicycles. You wouldn’t have to sleep on the ground
