After trying to sleep on this mattress for over a month, I threw in the towel and returned it. My back is in horrible shape now. It was like sleeping on a board, even with a 2 inch topper (the most I could add without interferring with the slide).
I'm sleeping on the jackknife sofa for now. My back is slowly getting better. Can't wait to find a better mattress.

I use a 8" foam rubber mattress with a 2" memory foam topper stuffed into the case with the foam rubber. I sleep tons better on it than I do on the high dollar one here in the house. It is very heavy though. I did cut 2" off the side of the foam rubber for fit which made room for the topper.

We've been on a memory foam mattress for the last year...…...Terrible
We finally ordered a custom mattress from http://www.militarysupplyhouse.com/sleepus3.htm
Always recommended on the other site...……Took a couple weeks to make...a small FULL...…$260 plus $50 shipping......came rolled up like a burrito
It's perfect.....looks like a real mattress.....plush top.....sewn edges....NO MORE Sinkholes ! We're both happy...……….
You Call (LosAngeles) and JIM talks you thru the order/options......tells you the price.....and collects your #s
PAULETTE and "Two Cats and THE DOUG"
Whereabouts unknown...……...

My conversion van jackknife sofa was not great to sleep on, even after I replaced the foam. When I got the chance to redo my interior I gleefully cut it up into little pieces and put it in the recycling bin.
My new mattress platform is flat with maximum possible storage underneath. I got a 5 inch thick medium firm foam mattress from foamorder.com with the zippered denim cover. Was not cheap, but in the subsequent 13 years has not gotten any softer, and I prefer it to any other mattress I've slept on since. I have taken it into my parents house and laid it on the box spring and put their mattress up against the wall.
Just have to lift it up to allow air circulation underneath. Lately i do that as well as hook the bottom sheet with elastic over the tops of my intake fans. turn them on medium speed or higher and all my bedding levitates and almost feels like freshly washed sheets that night.
Fiona approved.

I’m breaking my back on a memory foam mattress right now. It’s also hot. I think I need an inner spring but don’t want to buy mattress after mattress until I get it right.

I bought mine from foam factory out of Michigan. Mine is very nice. I covered it in wool knit fabric. It doesn’t sweat me out.

I'm not lost. I'm exploring.
i got a cheap twin xl in a box, added 2 inch foam and a mattress pad and it's alright, better than the hard queen in the house
