Hotspot router for Visible
#1
This was posted on CRVL by Tom M "07-29-2019, 05:07 AM

I have had the Visible R2 for 2 months and it has been working great. I live in a Minneapolis suburb and have had no speed issues. I will be traveling to Washington state in a few days and it will be a good test for coverage.  Even though they state that the tethered speed is limited to 5Mb/s, my tethered speed is not capped yet. As stated, you can only connect one device at a time to the hotspot. To get around this I connect to a GL-AR150 travel router which allows me to connect multiple devices. It's available on Amazon for $26.50." It cost $26.50 but has a 35% off coupon so it now costs $17.22. I have one coming & thought it might be useful to other Visible or other brand users.

From what I read if you sign up now while the speed cap is off & they recap it at 5 we that signed up when uncapped stay uncapped. Great deal IMHO for $25/month net, $19 phone, unlimited talk text & data & uncapped data usage even at 480p & Verizen network. They have no customer service if you're not tech savy but once it works it seems to do great. The link I posted from the "other" forum is 6 pages long & even has a good list of apps from a member here & there, well worth the read.

I use the phone as a hotspot more than as a phone and it works well.  From what I read if you put it in a Verizon jetpack you need to change the network it is pointing to to the visible network.  I figure a spare phone and decent camera that is also a fast unlimited hotspot is good.

Yes TX , I remember something being posted about needing to change settings for the jetpack to work on the sim .

But if the phone works as a hotspot.....
stay tuned

I have a 6620L Verizon MiFi. First you need to connect to your MiFi then you need to change the APN setting to "VSBLINTERNET". To do this, enter 192.168.1.1 as the web address in your browser. You will need to log in as admin. If you have not changed the login, leave UserName blank and password is "admin".
