Why lurk? You have interesting things to tell us if you were a librarian all those years.

Bob, Back in grade school when I was barely making a passing grade I thought "Dang I'm stupid" . My Dad asked me ..."Son..Do you know where the Library at school is ?" I said yes. He then asked me " Do you know how to read?" Yes. " Do you know how to use the card catalog in the library?" Yes. "Are you a good enough person to ask others for advice and instruction?" Yes Dad. He then finished with "Son...You are just as smart as the smartest person in the world if you know where and how to find the information you need to know. And be a good enough person that people with knowledge will share it with you." The End. I'm 50 now and this still rings true daily.

Correct ANP, I was encouraged at a young age to be proficient in library skills including asking for assistance. Made me an efficient student so I always was ahead of the game and had more time for playing guitar and chasing ladies. Guitar I mastered but the ladies are still a mystery.

Well, I will be reading up on all the useful info on this site to help me plan for a vehicle in a couple years (that's when mine is paid off). Starting to save now.

So far I am trending two directions, one being the stow-n-go mini's for the flexibility and general use aspect or two, a commercial van for more camping room. Pros and cons on each, of course. The mini van has seating for more people and great capacity in general whereas the commercial van is better for camping in less paved areas, more capacity for house batts/solar panels/mini bathroom but unless I find a CV with crew bench it means two people max so the general use transportation use gets limited. However, it all depends on how much money I have and what's out there at the time.

Family includes myself, the wife, and my sister and we do have a Honda Element that should last another 100K (just over 100K now).

As far as "Librarian Tales" I'm trying to forget! Most folks are nice but we have many oddballs at the branch I work. The good part is I am working right now (shhhh).

That’s a lot of people to stuff in a van to live... you sure you are set on a van and not an RV of some type?

HAHAHA! Not living in it, just my "Mobile Man Cave" for camping and fishing excursions. Different focus but many overlapping design ideas.
