Life on throttled data
This is the one that I got:

It outputs 14V so the Mobley thinks the engine is running because of the higher voltage.

If I do a long post I copy it before I post it... only if I remember, then the internet works. If I do forget to copy it, bye bye...
Yeah I've gotten into that habit when I'm using the Mobley, but, I get out of that habit when not using it.

Then when I go back to using it, I forget, and Murphy being Murphy, the loss of internet connection will always happen when:

A) I have written a long article that I worked on for at least a half hour, and

B) I have forgotten to copy and paste to notepad before I hit 'Submit' or 'Post'.

My Mobley usually stays on constantly all day while my solar panels are charging and the voltage of the lead acid batteries are around 13.6 or so...or if I'm hooked up to shore power at a campground.

It mainly happens at night when I'm off-grid....I'll be typing away an hour or two after the sun has gone down and the Mobley times out due to the dropping voltage at the 12v direct feed to the Mobley.

That is why I got the 14V buck converter. Even after dark when the charging sources are dropping voltage, it keeps it high enough to never stop. Just saying there is an alternative.

Yeah and thanks.....but what I have is working well enough, as little as I use it.

In fact, when I go into my account and look at my data consumption on the Mobley, it is really low most of the time.

I now have a bigger appreciation of being able to do things like up load a video while throttled. Had I not been able to or had I simply waited until I had better signal I would have missed out on getting it up at what seems to be just the right time. That video has over 17,000 views in 2 1/2 days making it my most viewed video yet.

Learning to use what you do have will go a lot further that worrying that it is not optimal.
