I am here for YARC
#71
I met an old guy, who's a new guy, in NM and gave him the YARC sticker and directions to YARC camp....his name is Mike, maybe he will join us next year. I told him to drive right past the nudies in Magic Circle and look for the pirate flags.

He probably thinks we aint right...which would be right.

He pulls a nice ATC toyhauler...which is kinda like the Airstream of toyhaulers….

I'm a little late..as usual..."Welcome!" Glad to have ya around for sure. Congrats on the van ! I as on the other forum for a short time before I found this place. Ain't been back since. I'm a 14 yr nomad in a 5W TT. In process of completing (are they ever really finished?) my build of a 25 pass E350 Shuttle Bus. I work about 73 hours/week doing contract work. Wish I could spend more time than I do here. But I will say everyone here has given me so much support, understanding, and shared their knowledge with me that they are stuck with me. I look forward to seeing what you have gotten done on your van. Look forward to getting to know you better and see just how Ain't Right you are. lol

Best Regards from- AMP, YT- Free Range Nomad, David

Another late welcome! Saw your book channel. Very cool. Worth watching! Stick around, and do check out YARC camp. Only thing is, everybody has to post pix of same, because I can't be there.
Two gloriously stinkin' badges.

Thanks for the welcome, ANPatriot and Heron . . . glad you like the book channel. I am getting settled enough now that I'm likely to post more videos there. I got the van, started traveling, and landed back in the small town I came from six years prior to vanlife. Currently living in my van but was just offered a converted garage today for the winter, in exchange for work on the web . . . and since winter is coming, and I'm thinking a wood stove and a shower would be an advantage, I'm probably going to do that for the winter. That will also give me space needed to work on the van conversion... and to turn my cargo trailer into the art studio I've been hoping for.
Peace...

I dislike cold weather...period. I have the regular atwood rv furnace, plus the heat pump side of my mini-split a/c unit in my bus. And thinking of adding a diesel fueled heater as well to it. Guess that's what happens when you grow in the southeast Texas. I'm too skinny to have any natural insulation. And since I'm traveling solo with two cats there is not the option of extra persons body heat. lol.

I love a good bus. My daughter lives in a skoolie and definitely has more options than I do in my van. My sister and I bought her a small wood stove a couple years ago. Works well for her. At least I made my escape from North Idaho!
Peace...
