Favored Internet Weather Sites?
#1
Which sites have you found to provide consistent, reliable 10+ day forecasts? Basically, high-low temperatures and precipitation probabilities.

I use to rely on Intellicast, but that got subsumed by WeatherUnderground, which itself was subsumed earlier into Weather.com collective.

WeatherUnderground sounds cool, but relies on a network of private personal weather stations that can come and go. Also, there are no PWS on government land on the network. The weather inside a NF can be different than say Flagstaff proper. [There did use to be two PWS online inside the DOE high energy Nevada Test Site, but those dropped off just over a year ago.]

I found WeatherBug recently, but wonder about their more optimistic forecasts than other sites. "Don't give me no bad news"?

seems accuweather is the most accurate but its predicting the weather which is impossible,a satellite picture and you can do as good as any

I use a couple weather apps. Weather Underground being the one I'll open just to check daily. I also use NOAA Weather app and AccuWeather.

I like windy.com, although it requires some more user interaction to get the forecasts for a specific location

This site also allows one to toggle between the GFS forcaast model and the EWMCF. how fasta front swings though an area has big impacts when teh rain will occur and when teh wind will switch, so it is nice to be able to see what both models think is going to happen and split the difference in making decisions.

I also like this GFS model loop for seeing general weather patterns 10 days out:

Anything beyond 3 or 4 days out is still a guess, but one can see where the general energy and what the pattern will be.

Belated thanks for the replies.
I do use the UW wxloops link. Have to slow it down or manually step through the frames.
Looks like I already have links to the best that is available.
Weather modification technology being what it is, weather forecasting isn't what it used to be.

I like Wunderground.com as the 10 day wind for shooting & aviation weather.

Weatherbug is a bit optimistic for rainfall (meaning they tell me i may get some when we dont) but otherwise is fine. TWC has too many ads for me.
