What's your budgeting method?

Just curious as to how everyone goes about budgeting.

For me, I ended up using the You Need A Budget software. I bought it back when it was cheaper than it is now. I find it really helps us keep track of everything.

I pay all my bills and set aside some money. Then I divide the remainder by 4.3 and pull that number out as cash for my spending money for the week.

Pretty simple.

Ours are pay the bills no sooner they come in, buy our groceries and that's pretty much it for us. Sometimes well go out to eat once in a while but other than that we don't go anywhere or do anything.
People that are loving and affectionate are like delicate flowers, if you don't show them love in return and nurture them daily, they will build up a wall between you and eventually you will lose their love and trust.

I guess I could do much better but all the bills get paid on time.

I know it’s awful but I just spend till it’s gone. I need lessons I guess.

It’s much better for me when I’m on the road because I’m not tempted to buy a ton of stuff for a house. That seemed like a never ending money pit.

Honestly I think everyone needs lessons. I've been studying the subject and it's kinda shocking how managing finances isn't something that's typically taught, you're just expected to know how to do it automatically. And then our culture shames you if you don't intrinsically know something that's never taught. It's kinda bizarre.

I enderver to make more than I spend. Much better than limiting yourself to spending what you make.
