What Do Ya'll Think? 1994 Dodge 1 ton

So POed at the mess the windows have caused you'd take anything else, including a stretched Yugo?
Or that it's a bit bigger?

It will cost you gas mileage, as Snik and Rat mentioned.

The difference between a B200 and a B300 could be absolutely nothing. 'Trucks' are built to spec.
For instance, my brother's 3/4 ton Dodge has a Dana 80.
Our one-ton Dodge van had only a Dana 60.

BW pointed out SOME states consider a one-ton a truck, and then you have to license it as one.
AZ considered 1 ton vans as commercial... all cargo vans were commercial. Increases plates and insurance cost but for something that old not too bad. Don’t know what your state does.

Now, only pickups, boni fide trucks and corvettes et al - Things that have to be- are designed with full frames.

In short, This is just silly guy talk, when's the last time you saw a van broke in half?'

Designed to save weight i.e. lighter metal. Sheet metal, in fact. Not the same as the steel used to make frames. It's easy enough to google the subject and come up with plenty of pictures and articles on unibody rust in Dodge vans.
Yes Dodges have documented frame rust issues which kills them (front-end frame rust as stated previously) but if it doesn’t have rust they are as good as any. Unibody or better yet “unitized” vehicles like the Dodge still had frames, just not full-length body on frames like Ford and GM, no wait, all you G20 Chevy van fans from the 70’s-1995 have “unitized” frames too. Plenty of older Dodges and Chevy vans pulled trailers and they weren’t breaking in half... oh and 1994 was the first year of the “magnum” series motors, which boosted power some. Same dismal gas mileage though...

I’d fix the Safari. It’s a known vehicle. When you buy an older van you likely are getting someone elses troubles. Why would businesses, contractors sell well-running work vehicles? Usually no good reasons, maybe it was fully depreciated and the accountant said “ok to sell” but not sure about that.

Don’t be afraid of a Dodge, get any used vehicle checked over.
To answer your Ford spark plug question, 1998-2008 were those years...

I'M GOING TO KEEP A EYE OUT FOR A GOOD DEAL ON A LARGER VAN.  I STILL INTEND TO FINISH THE SAFARI.

I'M SO VERY CLOSE IT HURTS TO NOT DO ANYTHING TO IT FOR NOW.  HOPEFULLY THE BIG WINDOW FOR THE SLIDING WINDOW WILL BE HERE THIS WEEK.  THEN THE  AC REPAIR AND A WINDOW MOTOR REPLACED AND REAR SEAT REMOVED.<<<<THAT IS ABOUT $150 AND WILL BE DONE AT THE SAME TIME.  NEXT WILL BE A MINKOTA ELEC PORT INSTALLED THOUGH THE VAN SOMEWHERE. <<<I'M OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS ON THE BEST PLACE FOR THAT.  I'M THINKING I SHOULD WAIT UNTIL I'M SURE ABOUT WHERE THE BED WILL GO,  ALSO A FRIG SPOT FOR LATER.

I'VE SEEN SOME WINDOW ACs MOUNTED IN A BACK DOOR WINDOW OR JUST INSIDE  THE VAN TO VENT OUT THE WINDOW.  CARAVAN CAROLYN DID U T VID ON A YELLOW ASTRO OR SAFARI? FROM THE 2017 RTR THAT I LIKED.  HE DIDN'T HAVE FIBERGLASS TURTLE TOP TO CONTEND WITH.<< I'M GRATEFUL FOR MINE AS I CAN STAND UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SAFARI.   THIS GUY CUT DOWN 2 DIAMOND PLATE TRUCKBED TOOL BOXES AND HAD THEM MOUNTED ON A ROOF RACK. I'VE ALSO SEEN VENTS/FANS MOUNTED IN THE BACK DOOR WINDOWS.

THE LAST THING TO ADD IS A SEVEN PIN ELEC. LIGHTS TOWING PLUG.  ALSO MAY NEED TO GO AHEAD AND RAISE IT THE LAST 2 INCHES LEFT IN THE HELPER SPRINGS.

NOW I HAVE A FRONT LEFT SIDE SQUEAL THAT I THINK ARE THE BRAKES ON THAT SIDE AND A SOMETIMES THUMP ON THE RIGHT FRONT THAT SOUNDS LIKE A LOOSE SHOCK BUSHING.  I'M DRIVING SO LITTLE NOW THAT JUST OVER A 1/2 A TANK IS ALL THE GAS I'VE USED SINCE THE BEGINING OF OCTOBER.

AS ALWAYS ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS
 { EXCEPT THE ONES THAT END WITH THE WORDS........."WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE"}
    Big Grin WILL BE APPRECIATED.
