Quartzsite, Julian, CA, and Anaheim, CA
#1
In Quartzsite, especially for the more mundane things, Evrett’s towing. You buy the parts, they install. They’ll let you help, and are really reasonably priced. Front end alignment in Blythe,54.95 at Standage tire.
Julian: Pete’s auto.
Anaheim: Cal Transmission

Got to run. Will elaborate in comment, but don’t want to waste all the tiny button typing work.
Two gloriously stinkin' badges.
Official YARC ship’s navigator.

I hope things are going smoothly now. Maybe you can get a break from throwing parts at your rig?

I have arrived in NorCal and most likely will be here for a bit. My frig is completely dead, no power, no propane, no bueno. $1300 to have a new one installed. Yours would be cheaper as you have a smaller one.

Let me know if you make it up this far, we must visit!!!

On a side note - I trespassed onto the abandoned federal prison in Boron for some photography. The place had some nice graffiti and one of the major artists signed their work HERON. I will be checking you for spray paint cans the next time we meet!

I was going to stop at a big RV salvage yard we were passing and inquire about RV fridges. We have bought things from there before but crap, it’s Sunday and they are closed.

I’ve seen them sold on Craigslist though. You might check near you

Thanks.

At this point it doesn’t matter what they cost, as I am out of money. But I think I have it all figured out and I should be back on the road in a couple of months. Life is good!

Well glad you got it figured out.

As we drive thru cold, gray, wet Missouri I’m wishing for sun. Gray makes me an unhappy camper.

I guess we will be in Kentucky by tomorrow

Blanch, I have a 3 way fridge out in the travel trailer I used to live in and it needs the $1300 part also.

I Looked at truckfridge website after seeing one of BWs videos and they have this unit:

https://www.truckfridge.com/tf2600/

It seems it might be good if one has an adequate solar/12v set-up. It may have a Danfoss compressor, or so I recall from the BW video.
It may be close to the same size as your refrigerator and the cost for the whole refrigerator is $1395, nearly the same as the part for the three way.

Steve - I should have dropped by to meet you before heading to see my mother, then I wouldn’t have been in that intersection and caused the auto accident.

I am considering getting a frig like the one you listed and just using my installed one as a cooler or pantry. That would be an easier way to fix my problem. Thanks.
