There's a documentary on Netflix called "Expedition Happiness"  It's about a couple from Germany that aren't quite ready to settle down yet so they fly to the US, buy a school bus, turn it into a camper and then travel into Canada, through Alaska and then south into Mexico.  

It's a decent video and highlights a lot of the ups and downs of the daily traveling life.
