I'm sure everyone else knows this...

... but what happens to a cell phone call that comes from a friend (we shall assume) when you're beyond cell range?  Does it just cancel the call, or can they leave a message that you can get when you're back in range?

Pretty sure it immediately goes to voice mail.

Yeah, this. And since the system is always online, it can be retrieved by the subscriber when they get back into an area that has service.
All this is hypothetical though, because, we are talking about cell companies, right? Tongue

I like a single mailbox (Google Voice) for all my phones.

Sends a transcript via email as well as notifying on all my other devices.

Single published number forwards calls to all the devices at the same time, can pick up on the one with the best signal in that location.

One source number for all texting from any device.
