Happy Mother’s Day
#1
Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow nomads, Vandweller’s and pirates! I hope you all have a wonderful and happy Sunday.

Today I leave my travel trailer and go to SoCal to live with and care for my mother. My hope is that she will get well enough to care for herself and that my required presence is brief. She has had two hospitalizations for pneumonia and respiratory failure and right now she just isn’t improving. So off to the traffic and freeway noise I go.

Sorry to hear that Blanch. I hope your mother recovers quickly.

I know how you feel about being stuck where you really don't want to be but you do what you have to do.

Edit to add: Happy Mothers Day to all mothers everywhere.

95! Wow, the things she has seen!
My mom will be 90 in November.

The wife is eating chocolate covered strawberries. I had to steal one to make sure they were OK for consumption. LOL

The Mother's Day card was so easy, displays EVERYWHERE !

The 95th birthday card ??????
Had to settle for a 90 and a 3 and a 2 (out of 5's).
She spotted the 90 right away ,,," I'm 95 , NOT 90 ! " .....
Then after opening the other cards told me I was really smart to figure that out,,,,,advanced math and all..........

I’m sorry Snik, that sucks.
But I wish you a happy Mother’s Day and that counts for something!

I’m thinking about all the care takers. There really should be a Caretaker Day. It is harder than being a mother because the roles are changed out. Care taking is so underrated, devalued and ignored unless it is you who is the care taker. I can think of a few people here who have that job. My hat is off to all of you. I really admire what Liz is doing. Not just care taking but enriching everyone’s life that she touches. Brian and Popeye, too. Who else is care taking?
