Solar panel damage?
#1
If a poly or mono solar panel is left in full sun while disconnected from the solar controller and hooked to nothing can one damage the panel?

It will be fine. When you do [re]connect it I'd cover it, wait for night, or install a breaker inline to keep from arcing.

No worries really. If you think about it there is little difference between having them unhooked and having them hooked up when the battery is full. The panel on my truck is hooked to nothing any time I leave the trailer behind.

Please unhook it.Otherwise you are using up all of the sun's energy for nothing. The more energy that we take from the sun the hotter it burns to compensate. This is causing global warming.
