Which engine/transmission combo does baby have?
I'd be rooting for the 5.2 V8 and the A518 transmission for adequate power and highway MPGS.
the 5.9 is way more powerful, and i believe always gets the stronger A518, but is a gas hog, the 3.9 is powerful enough, but might only have the 3 speed non overdrive transmission.
The 5.2 might have the weaker A-500 transmission, which I have, on my 89 b250 5.2.
The 3.9 with the three speed non overdrive TX, gets same or worse highway mpgs.
The Dodge Overdrive transmissions need additional cooling. Plumb additional cooler for After the radiator cooler.
i added a spin on filter as well to the cooler lines.
Dodge overdrive Transmissions are super finicky if fed anything but Mopar/chrysler licensed ATF+4.
Quickie lube joints will say their universal fluid plus additive is just as good.
it is not. Even so called professional TX rebuilders like Aamco, will throw out this line of BS.
