The HF magnets hold tight enough but I sewed them into the fabric. The fabric does not lay flat with the magnets. The fabric has to hold flat against an inward curve that defies gravity unless the screen goes outside the van. So you are right it needs maybe a combo of something to hold it. I’m wondering how well snaps would hold up if they are taken down and up with any frequency. HF also sells/sometimes gives away tool holder magnets. Ought to be a way...

We have one of the screen doors bought cheap from Menards... They aren’t wide enough to do the double doors and they are long. They supposedly hold on one side with Velcro (and a little help from some screws... ) on the house. The van would be another story. I have toyed with the idea of a tent type zipper to access in and out of the van, strapping tape trim around the screen and lots of HF magnets. Bug repellent anybody?

Those are the screens I have. Sewed 3 panels together. The velcro they use, and worse, the adhesive is terrible. When my doors are open, there's good, flat surface for magnets. so I just figure I'll put them where needed when I hang the screen up. Can't really leave it up and close the doors.
