The wild boar problem in the US, and especially West Texas, is so bad that they're focussed on eradication, not hunting. Not only is tannerite commonly used, but they also use helicopters and full-auto AR15s to mow them down. YouTube will turn up 100s of videos of both. Poison is illegal to use there.
