The Ambo!
Another Ambo weekend! Spent a few hours moving my propane bottle to the back locker. The locker used to be 42” deep, not it is just 14”. Of course I now have a huge cabinet inside where the rest of that locker is accessible from.

I will trim out the opening and cut a nice piece of diamond plate for the door.

Best part so far was how awesome the back deck and motorcycle rack worked today.

The deck gives me a place to stand when I load and unload the bike. Also somewhere to put a chair and relax!

The propane was lonely, so it got an argon friend

It has been so busy at work lately, but the Ambo needs attention too. I make it a point to drive it at least once a week. It is all ready for its next outing.

Next trip will be mid June. I use ramps for the bike for now. Going to install a beam and use a winch system in the future.

Finally got some work done on the Ambo! This heat and humidity has been terrible the past month. Took out the back windows and welded in some 1/8” aluminum panels. Still have to cut out a filler plate to fill in the outer skin. Then I will use some filler and make it look like the windows were never there in the first place.

After the filler plate is installed I can cut the hole for the new window that opens!

Adding a window that opens is worth all the effort. With a screen or screening material too.

Cross ventilation makes the heat almost bearable, as long as the air is moving. Although some days ya just want to find some AC, specially if the humidity is up there.

I was trying to figure out how no windows was better than windows.
One useful window is better than two non-opening windows.

I will have three opening windows when it is all said and done! They are beckson marine ports with screens built in.
