it just sucks up to much bandwidth or whatever they call it,by far the biggest culprit in slowing the site down,why you dont see HD backgrounds on sites
could do a lighter low def picture or just a color/pattern like most sites
taking suggestions

Keep it clean and simple in the background, but play around with the header image for getting different themes??

Seems to be working fine ever since we lost the forest. It was way too busy, and kept all those pixels in an uproar.
Mo, is your new avatar meant to look like Popeye on a Vespa scooter? Could be a Lambretta too.

if you go to the bottom right of the main page you can change to a different theme,have some simple ones without the forest background
