John and I went out the other day and found this. It’s about 20 lbs.

Today we got two more of the large Jasper. Between the four rocks I estimate about 250 lbs.  The guy at the rock shop says that I the old days the miners would pulverize the stones and pan out gold. We found these in a riverbed all close together. Next year we will look for more. The first day we picked up the two smaller ones. One about 50 lbs and the other a little bit smaller. Today I had to use a come along and an aluminum work ladder to load the two larger ones. Camilla had to drag them up hill with the ATV so I could manage them.

We went back today for the larger pieces. We dragged them up the side of the wash then went back into the wash, backed in and still needed to use a come along.

These big ones are the same as the red, pink and yellow one I posted the other day:

Look much better with a splash of water on them.

Same kind of stone but a much smaller piece. We had a guy in town cut a few small ones we got out of the wash.

And this one. It’s different.

Those look very cool. I used to collect plain rocks for my mom to paint. Not many of those rocks in Louisiana.

yea what do you do with them? very cool for sure

I like watching that tv show where they mine precious gems but darn I can't remember the show's name. They hit a mountain in like Montana and they get blue topaz and other gems but it is a fascinating show on how they make a living on a mt. just hand mining Smile

I metal detect. That way I don't have to lug heavy rocks around, just pocket my gold into my pack and slip in rings and necklaces and coins and and....well mostly pull tabs and beer cans HA

We dont need to go to Mars after all!

You got some red Mars rocks right there...carried back on the YARC Mars Rover!
