Disposable washcloths - ratfink56 - 12-16-2018
Discovered these at the VA care facility where my brother in law is. Great water saver. A pack of 48 is about the size of my Kindle.

Baby wipes are everywhere and you don't have to store a whole case.

These are 8x12. It's not necessary to buy them by the case. That quantity looks like the best price.

they come from the wrestling/fighting world,are all natural and quite refreshing,the eucalyptus opens the pores and you dont smell like a baby afterwards but the price is hard to justify when compared to others

I always carried the unscented wipes in the big truck. There were some days where it was just impractical to take a shower due to location or some other unforeseen event. Those wipes would go a long way to make you feel somewhat refreshed.

I guess I’m more old school using mostly good old soap and water. I see all kinds of things used for washing dishes from vinegar to bleach to whatever but I can’t help thinking that soap and water is much cheaper.
Same with taking whole baths with baby wipes.

I only take showers on Mon-Wed-Fri and use two baby wipes morning and evening (one each) on the off days. I still feel clean and nobody's complained (that I heard anyway). Of course I don't do anything very physical of any type anymore so I don't break a sweat.
I also use a wet sponge with soap on it to wash dishes and a rinse under the faucet that is barely running to conserve water.. I wipe all dishes with a paper towel before washing and I spray a little rubbing alcohol on them after rinsing and drying. I then let them air dry before putting away. It doesn't take very long for the alcohol to dry. I mostly use paper plates and bowls for less washing.

I use Wet Ones Big Ones. They are much larger and thicker than the usual baby wipes, and a 28ct is less than 3 bucks.

The main problem with bathing with soap and water is the amount of rinsing required, which is why I bathe in a warm water/baking soda solution, which doesn't need to be rinsed.
One thing that might be useful, which I recently heard from a friend, was that those blue Shop Towels on rolls can be laundered in a washing machine. I don't know if this would be useful, but their bulk is much less for storage (clean or soiled), there wouldn't be that continuous discarding of waste. But once soiled, they would have to be dried quite thoroughly to prevent odor and mold/deterioration (aka 'rot').
Another experiment on the agenda.
