But I do have an extra set with brackets etc to fit a 1990's Ford truck chassis. I know they will fit between 1994 to 1997. The other benefit of the bags is that it will bring your rig back standard ride height. Therefore increasing handling, braking, fuel efficiency.
RE: Miles Irving - GypsyDogs - 02-09-2018 I'm pretty sure Miles is allergic to Ford parts..... LOL RE: Miles Irving - Blacktank - 02-09-2018 (02-08-2018, 04:31 PM)Cammalu Wrote: Tx2sturgis isn't on this forum are your recruiting powers fading? or are we just to boring for him RE: Miles Irving - GypsyDogs - 02-20-2018 So.. after spending a grueling week at 'shop-camp' Miles is back. He was experiencing weird-freaky issue/s that I could not diagnose with my inadequate knowledge/tools. Now he drives like a New van.. Put your foot down and he goes.. he doesn't have to think about it.. (they think the accelerator pump in the carb was faulty) (GS- remember the lack of fuel at camp?? may have been part of the issue)Starting sounds different now... hard to explain.. but some strange clicking when turned over.. Will continue to monitor. Shop's work has a parts/labor guarantee and is backed by Napa and has been around about 20 years.. so not overly concerned... I was also happy to hear my engine still 'talks' to me.. Scott may remember my mentioning that on our foray to town.. lol On the non-mechanical side.. I got the kitchenette curtain done. And will likely use the scrap to make a cover for my fridge (along with reflectix and/or some insulation) And came up with an idea for window insulation/light block.. will attempt and advise. ![]() I really really really missed my van. Funny how, when you put so many hours into a project, it becomes like an extension of your body/mind... ALSO- as soon as I finish up a couple more inside projects.. I will make a short Tour-Video (sans Bob- lol) and post. A bad accelerator could well have caused it to stumble when trying to go. Did you ask them about the clicking noise at the shop? Looking forward to the video.
RE: Miles Irving - GypsyDogs - 03-12-2018 Yeah Yeah.. been a while.. I know got Miles out of the "shop" He starts funny.. no "Voom." just "meh" but runs afterwards .. usually.. FINALLY had the opportunity to get the dog house off (been SUPER busy with life and adulting and shit..) found This. ..Is it just me, or can I see at least 3 things wrong in this picture? (for clarity.. this is supposed to be a fresh rebuild-carb) RE: Miles Irving - Blacktank - 03-12-2018 is that a cap that was on the bottom port there? that is where your pcv valve should be hooked to RE: Miles Irving - RepublicOfTXPatriot - 03-12-2018 What Gary said. That port (which is still rusty dirty inside for a new rebuild) should have a hose attached to it going to the pcv valve (Positive Crankcase Vacuum (or Ventilation) valve. RE: Miles Irving - RepublicOfTXPatriot - 03-12-2018 Does the vehicle have a vacuum advance on the distributor? RE: Miles Irving - GypsyDogs - 03-12-2018 good guess.. but that hose is the other port.. on the pass.side. The one that is plugged is part of the (unused) heated air from the air filter system. |
