Someone should invent/create a foam pad for seat sleeping that is thicker on one side to level it out.  It would be handy for short people, a kid, or the dog.

Kaylee,
The fitted sheet tent is good thinking.

It wasn’t the lack of privacy... well that would be bad in a parking lot.... well, no impossible... But the lack of room to get my pants down to pee... then the lack of room to mount a potty... in time....... I just don’t know how the fitted sheet would work any better. It might be like peeing on a potty inside a pillow case with knees in the air or something.

Snik, the sheet was for privacy while sleeping. Smile
For peeing & changing clothes, I draped my blanket (thicker&larger) over my head & body or just over my lower body.
If I was around significant numbers of people, then that typically meant there was a rest room nearby, which I'd use.

What sort of potty were you using?

+1 on your conclusion that a "bigger rig" would be better Smile
Queen & the others are right: cars are tough.
That's the biggest "toughness"/difficulty gap in the vehicle hierarchy.
You deserve a Badge. Smile

Remember I had curtains falling off the windows... I doubt if the sheet over my head would make it any easier to do anything. Ain’t right to sleep in a car is it? But I had to try. One place in Missouri or Illinois where we camped someone had all kinds of boxes, totes and car seats on their mini van roof all night. Ssssooooo not stealth.

There is only one constant in life.
You can't fix stupid.

RE: Living in my car - Kaylee - 05-04-2019

Snik, please explain more about your potty.
That seems to be the biggest issue.
Pic(s) please, if convenient.

Again, my sheet suggestion was mainly for sleeping. Smile

I told her we needed to get a pic Kaylee but she wouldn’t cooperate...

She used my bathroom when she could but middle age and middle of the night pee trips go hand in hand.

Ladies.....From a man's POV ...just guessing....what about pissin' in a drain pan like we use to drain the motor oil out of cars. Splatter on the plastic might be a prob...idk. But it does have a center drain hole, closes up, and has a neat little spout on it for emptying. Am I just "pissin' on the wind" trying to figure this out? IDK...I'm a guy. LOL

David...…………..STOP IT.....right now !   Have you ever seen one of these Female units in question ?

I had a great 40 year lease on one...……….that drain you speak of is NOT a weep hole but a HIGH DISCHARGE drain...…….

Can you imagine the Splashback…….the Overflow ...….the Hover/Squat over that pan ?????

Pam used to use a metal Charlie Chip can in the van...the "sound" was great.….At first there was that little 'tinkle' sound ....then a GUSH.....
...……..Laughter!...…..then another gush...…………...Life was good !
