Good to meet you all and thanks for suggestions. I’ll see about posting about builds as they go. Problem is they are rather steam punk looking. As they are prototypes I don’t get around to the cosmetics much. For the forum it’s the uploading that gets me. Better with a wrench or saw than computer. I mess around with renewable energy a lot which I’m sure is very mundane. Well mildly “shocking” sometimes. Am looking for energy efficient ways to use it.
I’m hoping to visit more of the wildlife refuges for walks, birding, botany, learning about the region, and relaxation. The mosquito wildlife I can skip if possible however. I like the refuges as there’s nature without the crowds.

Nothing wrong with the steam punk look. One of the great things about builds is the variety. The styles, levels and creativity that I see give me all kinds of ideas for projects. Also helps with problem solving when I'm stumped on how to do something.

I was semi-forced into van dwelling, but I'm a lifelong birder, so my consolation prize is I'll get to visit places I wouldn't have otherwise.
+1 to no problemo with steampunk

Plus... somebody please start a thread about picture posting.
Specifically, please do describe how you want it to work.
Also tell us/me what sort of picture posting you do find easy (e.g. sending by email).
I'd love to make that easier for folks, and I have the skills to improve things.

pardon the very late response. Ive been very slow learning how to navigate forums.
have you been birding recently? I noticed a great late Summer mixed flock of songbirds a couple days ago? That was fun to watch. I’m a avid birder too but have usually only focused on Spring birding. When I get back on the road I’m hoping to expand into all seasons and also start photography or try a new wildlife art maybe. Time will tell.
Yes, I’d like to share more about the refuges. Some of them even allow camping. Have you been to any like that. Have you been to the NWR on the the lower Colorado?
