RE: The E BIKE Thread - tx2sturgis - 08-21-2021 Ok...after that ride of about 4 miles including some full throttle use in a few places including some shallow grades, I plugged in the charger and it took about 3 hours to turn the charger light green again. It's a slow charger, less than 2 amps. This was plugged into my normal grid power, but after the next ride, I will be plugging this thing into my mobile solar power 'pack'...which is my pickup with solar panels, AGM batteries, and an inverter. I need to know for sure I can fully charge this thing with the solar power that I have available when mobile. RE: The E BIKE Thread - Gr8ful - 08-21-2021 This may be a different model but it shows how to change the controller & batteries to 48v & go 30mph I asume you have the Razor Eco Smart People are using power tool batteries with success. RE: The E BIKE Thread - tx2sturgis - 08-21-2021 Lots of 'hacks' and aftermarket parts... I've seen a video where a guy adds a harness and connector for a 40v tool battery, sort of like a 'reserve' tank on a motorcycle. But I just need it to go a few miles now and then....I wont be heading off into the wild blue yonder on mine! I am still looking at...something....it will use gas and be able to be easily loaded in my trailer. The reveal will be later on...not just yet. The E BIKE Thread - Cammalu - 08-21-2021 Can’t Cammie ride in the basket? RE: The E BIKE Thread - tx2sturgis - 08-21-2021 No way....the basket is too small, and only supported at the seat post. Not big enough, not safe. You can drop in a take-home meal or a little bag or two of stuff from the Dollar Store, thats about it. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow to show the size difference. RE: The E BIKE Thread - Gr8ful - 08-22-2021 A great, easy, cheap hack for you.You can make brackets from the basket to the rear wheel nuts to haul your dog. They are $1400+ on Ebay w/tax, $899-$100 special on Amazon & $659 at walmart. Ebay#29430908544 weighs 44# I bought a 2nd battery for $185 so I can go 50 miles. It says they go 28mph for 25 miles but that's the 2019 specs, they now go 32mph for 25miles.Bay eBay item number:eBay iteEm number: 2943090 29430908

RE: The E BIKE Thread - rvpopeye - 08-22-2021 Good vid on what's out there to choose from , some feature talk and and opinion on the best one in each style. (by the Tool Bear) RE: The E BIKE Thread - tx2sturgis - 08-22-2021 I posed the pooch in the basket...even SHE can tell....this aint right! (she's just too heavy) and I would not want to subject her to this... she could easily fall out or I'd have to attach a harness or something....imagine if I fell or dropped the scooter or worse...and what do I do with her when I go inside a store? Not to mention that our combined 250 pounds or so is way past the scooter weight rating. If you look close you can see the kitty checking out this situation. Nah...just aint happening. The enclosed pet trailer I pull behind the e-bike is the way to haul THIS precious cargo!
