Bertha 2.0

Good call. That's why Putt is a short step van. As much as I'd like more space, being nimble (ha!) will have great benefit in the boonies.

Oh man! Congrats! I'd love to come but can't 'til I quit my job...when are you planning it for?

Bleep- Do you by chance have the inside dimensions of Bertha 1.0? As you know I got a shuttle bus for my build. It's a 25 passenger with the Champion body. On the E350 chassis. 1998. No handicap access doors. Even though I have gotten the bus I haven't been able to put my hands on it. That's due to me working in Little Rock, AR. (Good cheap places here for remote property). The bus is at my fathers ranch near Houston, TX. I was hoping to get a rough idea of the dimensions so I could play around with floor plans ideas. Have you found Bertha 2.0 yet? I know where there is (might still be there) short bus painted white from daycare. It's a chevy. Think 2000's model. It's here in Little Rock. Think they were asking $2,900. Probably snag it for $2,500 or less. Anyways, Thank you in advance for sharing all your adventure and experience with us.

She is approx. eight feet wide by six feet tall. We are still in her. We plan to keep her for at least another year to earn money and continue learning the ins and outs of the nomad life. We are all doing fantastic!!! Spent nearly a month with Blanch and Abnorm in the forest of Northern California and now are house sitting in Santa Cruz for about a month. Life is so amazing.
Lots of love from the Bertha crew.
Keep us all posted on your build Smile

Well I think, I repeat, think we may have found our new bus. We have decided to stay within the 24-28’ range as we have added a new crew member. The bus I have my eye on is the same size as Bertha, with the 7.3 Diesel. If I can swing this thing logistically and money wise we will be having our build party in spring. Patriot Nomad you have inspired me brother. Your interior is so beautiful and very close to what Toni and I dream of. Bertha has been very good to us, but if we want to traverse the continent we need something more reliable.
To that point....
After we move into our new home I think we will be donating Bertha to an in need person. Hopefully we can crowd source an entry level solar system and other goodies for the lucky individuals.
Working working working other than that.
I hope everyone here is doing well.
Miss you all
