I got my Visible account up and running. I took the Visible sim and put it in my old Verizon Hot Spot from back when we were all on the $5 a month plan. After I put the sim in my Verizon 6620L jet pack, I went into the menu screen for the jet pack and changed the APN to VSBLINTERNET. Now I have unlimited Verizon on a hotspot, no data caps.

If anyone else wants to give this a try - use the referral code BM8zH ( it’s case sensitive ) and you will get your first month for $20, and I get $20 off my bill.

I have an expensive Verizon Hot Spot. I’d love to change it to unlimited. I’m just not sure what you did though.

Let’s wait and see if other people are able to duplicate my results.

No modification of SIM size?
I don’t know the 6620.
Earlier models used the larger SIM and later the now common small Nano? SIM.
Just wondering if there would be an issue installing in a jetpac then putting back in a phone.

Oh and what phone did you initially use for Visible and what are you using phone for now.
Details, we want details! ?
From what I remember, there is a caddy? to make a smaller sim fit in a larger sim slot. There are actually 3 sizes of sims IIRC.
But how do I know if it might work?
It is the tiny sim, and I had a Verizon hotspot/jetpack from the unlimited $5 deal that I put it into.

Visible has a $20 phone from ZTE and that is the one I bought. I set up the new account on the ZTE, but it only shared the signal with Bluetooth and it was really frustrating to get my TV to work. I then put the sim in my old Verizon jetpack. That didn’t work so I did some google detective work. I found out you have to change the apn on the device to look for Visible network. I turned on the jetpack and connected it to my computer via WiFi.

Access the Admin Web Interface.
From the left menu, click Jetpack Settings.
Click the Advanced tab.
Click Continue (located on the right).
From the Advanced Settings section, edit the APN.
Click Save Changes (lower-right).

After this modification it worked perfectly.

I have a 6620L MiFi and it works with the Visible SIM. To expand on Blanch's instructions here are the steps:
  • Insert SIM into 6620 and power on
  • Connect to the 6620 WiFi
  • Start an Internet Browser and enter 192.168.1.1 for the address
  • Sign in and enter the admin password (default is admin)
  • Go through steps pictured below
