Water tank, sprayer, shower
#21
It didn't sound like you were wanting to do a whole tank before.
In that use , most of the people I've met at campgrounds have a two filter house type set up , typically set in a milk carton etc. right next to the fill inlet or in the water bay if on the high end coaches...think you could get those at Lowes or HD type places.

Next step up is the RO types.

I've also seen many who add a little filtered spigot right at the sink for coffee - tea etc. small useage .....

The Camco one is just charcoal but I have used them for many years on my rigs just for that little extra precaution.

Now relying on the Sawyer. They claim that with back flushing it will last 100,000 gallons and that's on the mini one !
The next size up didn't list any limit on use...

OH , and Walmart has kiosks where you can fill gallon or 5 gallon containers with RO+ultraviolet treatment for IIRC 39cents a gallon.
(You bring the container or buy it there the first time you fill.) Lots of places in the desert to buy water too like in Q.

Being real persnickety about where you fill from will go a long way to keep the tank water safe is probably the best way IMO , then filter as needed however you choose.

Plus , there's always 1/4 cup bleach to 25 gallons..................
stay tuned

We use one of these just attached to the hose when we fill tanks. I don’t know how effective it is but I haven’t noticed any bad tasting water.
