cool thread, glad it was bumped. Great info!

I also google all the free things to do in ______ (the place I am visiting)

tons of free stuff without having to pay a fortune all the time for an attraction in the area Smile

https://www.fulltimefamilies.com/money-s...mberships/
Link to some well put together info on reciprocal passes
That info changes a lot
If you have old info it might be a good idea to be sure you are up today. Confirm with the place you are headed to make sure they are still on the list.

A new association of museums...
https://nma.org/about-nma/resources/mini...and-tours/
Ever go some place and wonder about the geology? This is an association of mining museums and some have mines you can tour. Prices are individual - some free some over $10 a person. It is not something you get a card for it is just a list of places in various states. The ones I have already seen have been fascinating. I like it that some times they will explain the view out my van window. Some do take one of my museum cards. As usual do a little research...

A other thing to look up...
I went down to a national wild life preserve today.
This was really cool. I saw pelicans flying around. There were 5 observation places and a painted desert path about a mile loop. I also found a cool picnic area all to myself so I cooked some tasty lunch. Meers Point, AZ
Did you know there are all kinds of NATIONAL nature preserves? Look it up. Some have free camping near. Some don't. You can volunteer and get free camping at some. Some have welcome centers.
Couple nature preserves and mining and you get a lot of science lessons. The volunteer gave me a national map with all the locations it works best to use the net, then check out individual preserves
