This from a beat up, rusty old 91’ Ford 350 advertisement in the Atlanta Craigslist:

I bet you've been thinking "How do I get away from the lie that is my subscription-model, materialistic life and prepare for a post-Capitalist techno-subsistance economy?" Well YOU need this 1991 Ford E-350 Super Van! Hell, it's even called Super. It has 18" more van than usual, which is 18" more space for activities between you and other consenting, informed adults. This van is a rare 15-passenger window van with the legendary 7.3 liter IDI diesel engine.

Descended from the finest American tractors, the 7.3 IDI is well known for lasting hundreds of thousands of miles and for burning anything that is somewhat greasy. Glow plugs were moved to a manual pushbutton (You can count to 10, right?) in lieu of the unreliable 1980s timer
Alternator and all belts replaced
Transmission, brake, and power steering fluids inspected and changed

Yeah he writes well, probably could make some money doing that!
The pics of the van indicate its fairly beat up however he pretty much says it is.
The rust would be concerning (alluded to floorwell problems but no pics of it).
Seems like anything that is a diesel that even runs anymore is bringing multi-thousands... The rest of the van certainly wasn’t anything to write home about.
You ought to look it up and view the pics, especially the speedometer...

That 7.3 is an indestructible monster. Welding and grinding for a few hours to be sure. If the frame is straight this might be a fun, for someone else, project. I do like his prose. Lol.

The IDI was the best diesel Ford sold. I have a mint '93 ambo now with 88k orig miles & love it. Had new tires, new batteries, new 250 amp altonater & serp belt. '87 to '93 were the best years. Paid $2000 & everything works & no stickers to remove. Came from a small firehouse & was their backup. get about 17mpg on the freeway running 75. I also own the last month the made the 12 valve non computer 5.9 Cummins. Both engines I can buy the injectors for under $300 per engine so I know where the name powerstrke or at least the STROKE came from as a set of injectores are OVER $3000 for a 7.3 powerSTROKE. Much better vehicles available for less money. 

Any rust is too much.
Compared to parenting, Cat herding is less complicated

Good engines but I don’t like yelling over the noisy engine to my passengers. Ive had 3 of them and they were all loud as heck. But I would buy another if I stumble on a good one.
