Ed's journey

It turns out that around 60% of those who get really sick and die, are the ones who are locked down, inside, like lab rats, passing the germs back and forth. Yuck!

Get outside and enjoy life dangit! The germ does not live very long on any surfaces exposed to sunlight....add this to social distancing in public gatherings and public places when necessary, and I really believe that open air, isolated RV/van travel, and camping are the best defense to this china virus.

YMMV...of course...

BTW it is 93 degrees outside as I type this....but 72 inside...I mowed about an acre this morning when it was cooler. Then went for a motorcycle ride....it sure feels good to get out and do stuff!
Survived that last catastrophe....NEXT!

Certainly here in Maine, it seems that people in congregate living situations, particularly rehab and nursing homes, are most at risk. And I guess there's a fair amount of community transmission in the southernmost part of the state, but I've stayed away from there. Mostly right here, working on stuff. It's actually starting to warm up here, so I'll be out in my boat, soon, so that will be good. I'm careful when I go out, and will continue to be, so I think I'm in pretty good shape. It's the people in the store who seem not to care that concern me, really. And the worst possible thing is that I might get it and give it to someone else before I'm symptomatic. That definitely ain't right. But I do intend to get going as soon as the van is squared away. I REALLY don't want to spend time in somebody's shop while on the road, this year.

Sounds as though your place is nicely insulated or your AC is working well. I'm glad of that!
One gloriously stinkin' badge.
