YARC Bar?
Saw the pictures and went WTF. They are different looking in USA. In Africa king snakes sometimes get mistaken for coral snakes.

But I guess they are different species. Scarlett King snake. Never heard that before
I learned me sumtin.

What tx and cammalu have appears to be a speckled king snake. They get found in chicken coups quite a bit.

Yeah the one I found in my place is a speckled king snake.

I did not measure it directly but when it had lined itself along 3 sides of the box, I took out a tape measure and spanned along the sides, and he was about 32 inches long....and just a bit smaller around than a quarter.

He was doing the rattler imitation....shaking his tail and it tapped against the sides of the box....pretty good imitation of a rattlesnake...

Do they bite? Well past the all snakes bite. Are they venomous?

Hey it has cooled off to a very tolerable 94 degrees today....

Here are a few thermometers around this place, all in the shade, for the last week or so, varying between 105 and 111 each and every day for about a week....

I was warning all of the intransit nomads, (you know who you are!) that it would NOT be a good idea to be here at all for a few weeks!

I kept it in the mid to low 70's inside....I'm no dummy!

I was riding the motorcycle on the hot pavement the other day, and the pavement was literally melting...getting gooey...when I put my feet down, my shoes stuck to the hot sticky pavement goo at a couple of traffic lights.....that was weird...

I quickly changed where I was riding to find some less messy tar to ride on!
