There should be a rectangular plug with a tab that holds it together. P

You don't HAVE to disconnect it. We are just trying to keep you from damaging the wire which would turn into something else to fix. The seat will be heavy and awkward.

I JUST RECENTLY SAW ON YOU TUBE A VAN WHERE A COUPLE HAD BOUGHT A SALVAGED MIDDLE SECTION FROM THE FRONT SEAT OF A  CHEVY SILVERADO PICKUP.  IT WAS VERY NARROW AND THE BACK FOLDED FORWARD TO MAKE A FLAT SURFACE.  MY RANGER HAD 2 FOLDING JUMP SEATS IN THE EXTENDED CAB.  THESE MIGHT BE A OPTION FOR YOU.  IDK

I'VE ALSO SEEN A VAN WHERE A LADY REMOVED HER FRONT PASSENGER SEAT IN HER VAN AND PLACED A TABLE THERE WITH I THINK HER FRIG UNDER IT.  IT SEEMED TO MAKE THE FRONT OF HER VAN LARGER AND ALSO GAVE HER MORE ROOM IN THE REAR OF HER VAN TO WORK WITH.

In my build we repurposed, and recovered in Russian red leather (Katskin) rear seats to use inside the living area. They fold up out of the way for easy floor storage and are built better than aftermarket crap available at RV dealers. In my case zero hit on payload was the deciding factor. The heated seats option we saved and will be nice addition on cold mornings. Rewired to run on the house bank. Rear seat area now has a ton of room, stolen from a rarely used space, weight is forward and low as well! Overlanders are called overloaders for a reason. The 40 gallons of water hidden under the replacing rear plate system is a real bonus. Not that it will usually be full but for those close to fill desert days...shower au natural heaven.. yes I know BLM says no, I talked to the cactus they are fine with it.

I guess the take away is look at the area. What works? Heavy storage is best forward and low. Water is heavy, water is life!
