Nevada’s wild horses

I spent today out photographing wild horses. One group was near Virginia City and the other group was on Washoe Lake.

Feral, not wild. Abandoned non-native domestic animals.

Marietta, Nevada - a ghost town and lots of burros are around there. I saw these guys a little over a month ago.

If you come to YARC camp this year, you can come back down from shopping in Parker at the WalMart, on the California side, and south of the Parker dam there's all kinds of wild burros. We stopped to watch one and it came over and stuck its head in the window.I guess people must feed them, for sure.
