Our Van neighbor
#1
so hubby and I are relaxing under the awning when our camping neighbor left.
we then had a bet what would come in.....I said older small (like 22 ft) travel trailer like Terry or Puma or Dutchmen and he said big old newer motorhome diesel.....bet was who cleans up dinner after our grilling Smile

In comes a van....we both lost HAHA

Real nice guy.  His mom has an rv in florida and this van to trick out later, but she got older and decided she wasn't doing it so she gave him the van.  He put in small AC unit on top, retired from work and said screw it and hit the road to fish around the coast and enjoy life....hasn't done much inside.  I asked him how his build was and he said he hasn't decided what he wants for the interior, now he has a cot with mattress, table set outside for grill and all and is just using bathhouse etc as needed for personal.....but he has intentions of making it a real home for himself down the road.

He said small, easy handling, minimal maintenance to live and just enjoy his fishing time and just wander.....very cool to me Smile

So pic is his van next to our toyhauler.  I am behind him.   Just a pic showing a vanner next to us having a blast in life and thought I would share it!

i went to ace hardware yesterday and first saw a nice new express handicap with a 1 foot or so top and coming out there was a 2000's ford with a full hightop,if i was a little shorter i would of gone with one of those, being the same height as a van is wide forced my decision and having a rig 7'3" wide is nothing to complain about until i try driving down a goat trail

Goat trails are over rated.
Desert or forest roads ,,,,, can get a little tricky but very often , very worth the effort .
Hike in first if it isn't too far is a good idea ,
I carry a mtn bike ...makes it much easier and saves damage to the rig.

Some even have dirt bikes riding out back like Baloo !
