Toasted 3 starters...what is going on?
#21
The reason the hood does not open easily is that I have my ebike mounted in the front.

It is for sale.

Meanwhile, I have to unlock, unchain the bike. Undo the straps and lift it down. The I could open the hood. Not a quick operation.

BTW...it is GoodSams dispatch that is insisting in sending a mobile mechanic instead of tow. It is sure lots cheaper for them! They only pay for the travel time and expense for the mechanic to come to me...everything after that is for me to pay.

Same way when you get a tow. When you get to the nearest shop, you are required to pay for any repairs. I would much rather the mobile mechanic fix it on the spot and charge me than to have to waste all the time (which gets more precocious the older I get) of going to the shop.

I would agree, usually. But, I know the $225 I will pay for the next starter is just going to burn up getting me to the mechanic shop.

Still...cheaper than the $400 I was quoted by the local tow company.
