Generator comparison
#11
I would not call the Black Hills a 'small space'....plenty of room unless you are right in Sturgis...

There are so many loud motorcycles here that the noise from a generator is negligible....some of these campgrounds probably have quiet hour 'suggestions'...but let me put it this way: If someone is noise averse, they don't need to be here.

Just sayin....

Any town or pit stop place around was packed to the gills. Sidewalks belly button to as* in two directions on the sidewalks. I didn't stop in any of the towns because of this. It was a crush. Once you got about a 100 miles away, it wasn't so bad. I didn't stay at one of the party campgrounds near Sturgis. Nice and quiet (for the most part) in the petrified forest (Black Hill Petrified Forest) at the top of the hill. Located near Piedmont.

It probably didn't help with me helping to take it off track.

I have a Honda 2000i and have been very happy with it. Even sat for two years with gas still in the carb and after a dozen pulls she finally started. I use it when I travel and at home for power outages.

I loved sturgis when I went, we stayed at a quiet campground 15 min from the center of it all, it was nice to have a quiet place to retreat to. If I went again, I'd like to go for two weeks and do a week in a rowdy campground and a week in a quiet one.
