Bought a truck camper today
#1
Came across this on Facebook this morning and was too good a deal to pass up.  They are very popular with Tacoma owners and are an easy sell for a lot more than the $850 I paid.

I had one before when I was pretty sick and didn't like the work involved in setting up and taking it down. But now that i'm about 400% better it only takes me a few minutes each way.  And the fact i'm not looking to full time in the immediate future, I think i'll keep it and try a few trips with it.   It's pretty small so i'm not sure it will ultimately be the right fit, but will be fun to get on the road for a little bit this spring, it's been far too long since I've taken any road trips.

And it will be easy enough to sell should I decide to and put that money into the cargo trailer build I was originally planning on.

Does Camo like it ?
Dumb question , if it's yours he will.
A lot easier to go out with compared to the TT !

Always wanted one for my 4x4 F150 along with a raised shortbed pickup hunters trailer for extreme remote camping in the Rockies. It was that desire and the fact that we had three dogs that ended up getting me the trailer I live in now.

Nice find

He likes anything that involves going somewhere in the truck,  he hangs out in the truck when it's nice out like it's his dog house.

Looks like a dandy rig for weekend getaways. Congrats!

Pics of it in front of a campfire needed.

Weekend? Should I take this as advice? My build specs, costing me money as I type is a PopUp not much bigger on a flatbed... Going to be my fulltime 3-year machine on a 350 or 3500. No thermal bridges and an R rating of 5 for insulation.

So I slept in the rig last night to get a feel for it. We got 3 inches of rain to boot, so it passed the no leak test with flying colors! It's actually pretty comfortable. Woke up and made coffee on the stove and drank it while sitting at the small dinette. It's really not a bad little rig at all.

I booked a campsite at a State Campground on Moosehead Lake in Greenville Me at the end of June to give it a real test. I'll prob take it out for a weekend or two before then too.
