Driving Bertha
#1
The bus, or skoolie is a great alternative for those of us who require a little more room than a van has to offer.  There are many different shapes and sizes of bus available as well.
I wanted to start this thread off.  The coffee is brewing.  I will be back to write more after my AM fix.

Hi bLEEp, Glad you made it. Smile
I have thought about a bus before. It would be great for the room it offers.
The Captain and Crew Finally got their stuff together.
Now if they can only remember where they put it.   Rolleyes

What kind of mileage does a Schoolie give you?
I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

Well I never made it back, sometimes I do stuff and things hehehe
Bertha averages about nine miles to the gallon and she has no problem pushing down the road at 70 MPH (important in Kansas, yuck). She is big, and requires us to find unique parking spots, but the ability of her to be a home base away from home is awesome. In a group setting we could host a small group to watch a movie if the wearer is bad, and have a ton of storage for tools and whatnots. Between Camalu and us we are like a convention center on wheels. We have also considered getting a used projector and stretching a sheet on the side of the bus for movie nights. We love Bertha!
