Pinewoods Lake Campground. Elsinore, MO

We spent the night here with a spot right near the Lake. It’s part of the Mark Twain National Forest. The trees haven’t leafed out yet at all so we could see the whole campground pretty well.

It’s a free campground with no services. The campsites were large and there was a ton of dead wood everywhere that needs to be used in campfires. You can see where they had cut many trees down and just left them.

Fishing is allowed and limits are posted. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The sites were paved and pretty level. It’s very peaceful and I’d use it again.

There was only one other person in the whole campground. Nice peaceful lake and no humans. No bugs either. Spring is coming.
