still a newbie - Justacarsofar - 09-29-2017 Just A Car So Far .... from the other forum, here to irritate y'all in another dimension. Cammalu' invited meh.. so blame her? Happy to make your acquaintance and get to know some of you better. I'm still in the dreaming stage of Vandwelling so I've no skills really to share but maybe you'll put up with my very odd humor anyway! Started watching the videos in August and have been obsessed since. From the help of the community, I learned: "You've got a lot of work to do Pilgrim" .... yup yup yup.. I see this clearly now. But, I can't help myself in continuing to learn, dream, have fun, make new friends and hang out. Hey, I even got a "Stinkin Badge" I brought wiff meee! How AINT RIGHT is that!!! ?

I've got the vehicle and am about half built, still about 2 years to go. It's interesting how many people are in that phase. Yep, a lot of work to do to build a home on four wheels. Welcome! Thanks so much, I'm saying "whew' that i'm not the only one still grounded but you're well into the game! You're in Bozeman, cool. Have a sis in Cody and that's the route usually taken to go see her, from MN. I'm still holding out that she might help me in my wanderlust quest, so we shall see. Have a beautious day everbuddy

If you've got the time, lemme know next time you come through and I'll make some burgers. If I'm at the right place you're welcome to layover at my house.
RE: still a newbie - Everyroadleadshome - 09-29-2017 Hi Welcome over! Sounds like you're going to fit in with this misguided bunch of misfits just fine! RE: still a newbie - Snikwahjm - 09-29-2017 Welcome. I'm take care of my 91 y o mother and 93 y o father so someone has to die before I can go for more than a couple days adventure now and then. We practice new things when we do get to go. We have a lot to do before we can full time. We are slowly figuring things out. The van we have is old, rusty and we have coaxed a lot of miles out of it - so I troll the internet for a better ride. RE: still a newbie - Blacktank - 09-29-2017 happy to have you here the first vehicle i had for road trips was an old chevy van with a queen bed and a cooler, did many camping and a couple cross country trips so it doesnt have to be that complicated RE: still a newbie - Art - 09-29-2017 welcome, a Car can do it, too, at least short term RE: still a newbie - Snikwahjm - 09-29-2017 Art, I tell my husband we should try our Honda Fit but he says no way he's going to crawl in the back of that thing and sleep. He says he might have to get up and pee... RE: still a newbie - Art - 09-29-2017 Oh, 2 people, not gonna work in a Fit for sure, I always make that assumption we're all singletons, and somtimes I put my foot in my pie hole Now me and Buddy, we could do a Fit, but me and another human? we'd definitely need at least a privacy tent for the bucket, slimmer bodies than i can boast, and a lot of patience |
